The Nyakazu faults known as the german faults are located in the commune of Mpinga Kayove in the province of Rutana. They are interesting geological formations with a legendary history on the german settlers. But this site also has another particular historical aspect. Royal sanctuaries numbering 4 are marked by groves of sacred royal trees commemorating the history of the Burundi monarchy.
