Located in one of the former royal capitals of Burundi, is a place steeped in history and culture. This fascinating site is home to reconstructed huts on the site of the former royal palace, as well as the remains of a palace built for the king. There is also the empty tomb of king Mwambutsa Bangiricenge, who, despite having been buried in Switzerland, remains a symbol of hope for his return to the land of his ancestors.
