This place testifies to the historical importance of the Burundian monarchy and the changes it went through during the colonial period.

Located in one of the former royal capitals of Burundi, is a place steeped in history and culture. This fascinating site is home to reconstructed huts on the site of the former royal palace, as well as the remains of a palace built for the king. There is also the empty tomb of king Mwambutsa Bangiricenge, who, despite having been buried in Switzerland, remains a symbol of hope for his return to the land of his ancestors. In addition, the large property now hosts a secondary school, contributing to the education and development of the local community while preserving this important cultural heritage.
