Known as iwabo w’Imana which means at the origin of God, sacred place where one seeks divine protection and spiritual benefits
Agasumo ka Mwaro references to the small waterfall located in the Kayokwe commune of the Mwaro province. This site is made up of a succession of 4 waterfalls all fed by the Kayokwe river. They have a sacred dimension and are known as a high spiritual place charged with great importance in the traditional rites of Burundi, especially the cult of ukubandwa, a rite of possession. Visitors go there to beg divine favors such as healing, prosperity and other blessings of Imana.
